When every "prd" blasted furiously into the air (after a good wholesome meal, late at night) brings a nostalgic image of her (and her own nose-hair-burning "prdy") into your mind.

A prd so strong it makes a bead of sweat run down your brow and leaves you breathless... a prd so majestic its sound resonates off the wooden furniture in the room, accompanied by a chorus of howling hysterical neighborhood dogs just awoken.

At that point, as you feel proud of your incredible intestinal aromatic accomplishment and then run like mad to exit the room to escape the noxious bio-hazard cloud of doom you just created (as it destroys all the plants in the room behind you)... you miss her.

You tell yourself it's pointless, she's gone, but you dream about her at night. Only it's usually about quiet, simple, almost boring stuff.

This is normal. Your subconscious likes to fuck with you. Consider all those unexplainable times you've dreamed about doing your job at work and then having to relive it when you wake. Your brain wants to tell you it wants a vacation in some stimulating place and it is too uppity to just tell you explicitly.

With the woman that is now gone your brain is just fucking with you. There is no message in this case. It just figures, a little suffering will build some character. Let's make sure the ole tear ducts still work, lets make sure the auto wall slamming reflex still works.

Yep, you are all complicated wonders. Now see if you can make it through a week without damaging yourselves or others.

They are everywhere, milling, pointing, chattering in German or English, or either Japanese or Chinese. It has made her search all the more difficult.

She has the photos in her shoulder-bag, and the Mac in her messenger bag ... the X marks the spot of her heart by black and brown crossed straps. So far no luck though; no one admits to seeing her, even when she uses her best unaccented flat fran�ais on them. "Connaissez-vous cette fille?" They look, they shake their heads "Non" they say and hand it back.

Many have asked the quite reasonable question: Why does the love hamster speak Franglais.

I mean isn't he speaking against the kind of stereotypical purple prose that people love to utter in that tongue? Well sometimes life doesn't go by function but by contingent events. The love hamster you see is really not pure hamster. Yes you have probably already guessed it, he is the illegitimate son of Pepe himself.

Do not think it is the bitterness of an abandoned orphan that drives the hamster to his mad extremes. Do not. For there is another cause of the all too visible effect. I am trying to explain only his accent.

Oh it would be a more interesting world if he had a really thick bronx accent, or if he hailed from Philly... But our reality is what it is...

Chuck and I are sittin' out front; grey skies, cool temps, slight drizzle all right. We're smokin' together; that's right, the chuck smokes, though mostly he just pinches the Camel 'tween two front claws and sniffs at it like an incense stick. We are sharin' a little time today; the yard hours are his not mine. The deacon of the church who minds the property has been carryin' left over crap and garbage outta a recently vacated apartment in th' main building.

"Can't believe they leave all that stuff in th' apartment Deac." "Yeah Mandy ..." he stops with his white hair shining as bright as his shirt, an' a cardboard box of odd stuff held in his arms; "... they graduate an' then they just pull up stakes and drive off." The chuck snorts under his breath and looks away.

The deacon throws the box in the bin and walks back up the gravel drive by the chuck and I again "I'm gonna trap you one of these days ya know?" "Blah blah blah" the chuck sniffs his smoke and stares the deacon down. "Be back tomorrow with the screen for that front window Mandy." "Okay Deac see ya then." As the old guy walks strong up the drive I turn to the chuck "So Chuck, tell me, do you guys clean up when ya move along?" "We're all green here girl, everything left behind is bio-degradable." We chuckle together.
