Congratulations Germany, BUT:
It would have been a different match, if the legal english goal for 2-2 had been approved.
What a terible linesman; the only thing he had to do was to concentrate on the ball and the line.
The whole world and all the people in the stadium have seen the goal, except the ref. and his linesman. The refs in my country are a disaster, but even they would have seen that the ball was behind the line.

And now analysis: Guus Hiddink said that England played with 2 midfielders and Germany with 3.
The Germans forced the english defenders to close the gaps in midfield and that way the english defence was completely open at least 5x in the first half. So it seems that Capello's tactic had failed.

And about Rooney: I dont understand why the english consider him a world-star. He showed nothing at all in this tournament. Ok, he scores goals for Manchester Utd., but even my grandma would score goals, if she was centerforward for Manchester Utd.

Ok once again congratulations Germany and condoleances England.I am looking forward to see the matches in the english premier league next season and it would be great if we get a Holland-Germany final. (we have to face Brasil before though..

Well said. We were lucky to get away with 4-1. Look at Rooney for example, at Man Utd he plays with international players week in week out who make him look better than he is ( although he isn`t rubbish lol ).
Incidentally, I told a taxi driver last week that I thought Holland would win the cup and he didn`t talk to me for the rest of the journey!! Pathetic!!

Finally we have the revenge for the 1966 wembley goal - tho it is not so hard to find out if it was a regular goal or not :orglaugh

for the match - best game the three lions made in south africa ( I'm a lil bit sorry about UK has to take the flight back to london ... but only a lil bit)

The match was what it promised in history - a great fight between to great teams. I hope to see more of matches like this. Loosing in a match like the one we have seen is never a shame. I'm looking forward the next tournament match against the three lions - maybe the 2012 EC final or next worldchampionship final in Brazil :guitar

Ohh sarcasm was only about the goal - it was a great game with two great teams. England missed to make more goals (ok one with referee help) - but for me it was best game so far. If Germany would have lost 4:5 I would have loved this game too. Germany had the luck that England opened there defense - and they used the first 2 chances they had in 2nd half for the 4:1 final.
So from me : hat up for England - this team was totally different to the UK team in first round.
